Last fall we got a call for an injured dog. We picked up this Cocker Spaniel. She was not injured but in horrible condition. She had mange, her nails were so long they curled under and made it difficult for her to walk. Her eyes and ears were infected. She also had a urinary tract infection. She was a mess.
The staff got right to work. We bathed her in antifungal shampoo, cut her nails and with the guidance of our veterinarian, started her on a course of antibiotics.
We named her Marilyn.
These many months and baths later, we are still fighting some on the infections, but she is showing great improvement.
Through it all, Marilyn has been an absolute doll. She loves to go for walks, and all of the attention we can give her. Her tail never stops wagging.
The best news is there is a forever home waiting for her. Marilyn will go home after Dr. Loomis gives her the all clear to be spayed.
