On April 8, 2015, the shelter held our first luncheon at KC’s Korner in South Plainfield to honor the repeat volunteers who make our animals happy and help to defray our costs. Each volunteer has the biggest heart and typically attaches themselves to the same animal, which brings peace, comfort and familiarity to the animals in our care. We would not be where we are today with our volunteers.
As this was our first ever Volunteer Luncheon, we had a small group of the long-time volunteers attend. We truly hope they understand just how much we appreciate what they do for our animals. Many, many thanks to Board Members Elayne Alpert (her idea!) and Linda Schutzbach for making this happen.
Our plans are to recognize our volunteers more frequently, but on behalf of PAHS, we thank all of our volunteers from the bottom of our hearts!
